PLATFORM-CENTRAL: a platform for young musicians!
The Central has teamed with with PLATFORM-CENTRAL to offer some great opportunities for talented young musicians aged 14-19.
PLATFORM-CENTRAL is more than just a kiddies gig night- it aims to give young musicians with real talent a place to springboard into the local and national gigging circuit, and further into the music industry. It is a very simple concept:

PART DINOSAUR added to HYHI show on 24th July
Great Ancestors will unfortunately not be playing at Saturday’s HOLD YOUR HORSE IS show due to them pulling out of the tour, but we are pleased to announce that the awesome PART DINOSAUR are replacing them on this bill!
Part Dinosaur are an indie-noise quartet who originated in Southampton, but nowadays find themselves in and around London. Described as “super-catchy indie with mathy flourishes” and armed with a strong DIY ethic, a debut self-released EP and a growing fan base, they are on tour until the end of July.

Saturday Night at The Central- July 24th
THE MAFFA KINGS, an incredibly good rock/psychadelic/alternative band from Nottingham, play at The Central on Saturday 24th July. Take a listen at HERE
The Maffa Kings will be supported by The River Styx, General Public Chemistry Set and Vanity Box, plus we launch our new Tapas menu served with ice cold Sangria. Doors at 7pm, just £3 entry.






Two of Nottingham’s best independent venues, The Maze and The Central, have teamed up to bring you NATIVES IN A NUTSHELL, events spread across the two venues that are designed to bring you the best of Nott’s music and to promote unity within the Nottingham underground music scene.
There is a slot available on tonight’s show (Friday 23rd) with BETWEEN THE SCREAMS, FERAL EVE and LASTCALLHOME. A World Defined have unfortunately had to pull out due to illness.
