The Central is a music venue in the city centre of Nottingham, dedicated to our city’s fine music scene and all it has to offer. We are also a themed retro/rock ‘n’ roll bar complete with pool table, good food and some of Nottingham’s best club nights.

The Central comprises of three rooms set over two floors, and plays host to local, national and international bands, both signed and unsigned. We have two fully equipped venues available for gigs and private hire for club nights, weddings, parties, corporate meetings, external promoter hire etc. Click on HIRE for more info!

Travel to The Central

The Central is situated within a 5 min walk of both the train and bus stations on the A60 main route into Nottingham. There are many hotels in close proximity, the nearest being the Nottingham Centre Travel Lodge.

Parking is available at The NCP carpark located on Becks Street or Huntingdon Street. Some free parking is available after 6pm on both Becks Street and Convent Street to each side of the venue.

AGE POLICY

Please note that our age policy is 16+. 16 and 17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.

Friday and Saturday are strictly 18+ unless by prior arangement.

We do matinee shows on Saturday and Sundays where unaccompanied 16 and 17 year olds are welcome, please see the LISTINGS page for details of our next show.

Closing times vary in accordance with bookings. We are always open until at least 11pm.
